Faravid WTB Multi Pitch Tarp

The WTB Multi Pitch Tarpen is a versatile solution for a 4-man patrol or round-the-clock shelter/protection needs.

WTB has two vestibules that can be connected to form a small pyramid. The pyramid is an excellent transmitter site during marching and can be used by two operators as cover.

If the head cloth is pulled together with the zippers, a windbag can be created, which can be used by the unit in bad weather, for example on the mountains.

All you need to pitch the WTB are two poles (about 140 cm) and “tent pegs” that you can make from materials found in the field. There are two adjustable holders on the tarp that are height-adjustable so that the tarp can be pitched even if the ground plane is inclined. This gives good stretching in the cloth and drainage.

The WTB can be rigged in a large number of ways. Like a backpack tent with maximum height in the tarp. It can be lowered on one long side for a lower set-up option. If the side pieces are removed, this becomes a normal tarp.

The color olive is adapted to be used in hunting or other specialized activities where reflexes and color choice should not reveal a base. The Tarpen’s NIR signature is really good.

Strings can be packed into small packing pockets integrated on the tarp.

The volume/size of the WTB tarp is so small that it fits in most side pockets on the market. Definitely on backpacks that are used in the military. This system has, among other things, been included in our K-FORS backpack as protection for injured people who are treated by paramedics at, for example, RVs after ambusch etc.

This is an optimal shelter for smaller units especially in no snow conditions. Leave large, bulky tunnel tents at home instead of getting a simple bivy bag and use the WTB in case of storms as protection.
