Description

Military Omnifuel is a stove for expeditions. The Military Omnifuel burner effect is best seen in winter conditions. In extreme cold, a operators pair can share a set, otherwise you can be up to 4 operators on an Omnifuel set.

The stove system is designed for military use with demanding situations, extreme altitudes and both low and high temperatures. It works with LPG, petrol, diesel, kerosene, and even aviation fuel. The separate control handle fine-tunes the flame to exactly the heat you want. Fuel pump for “liquid fuels” and for gas. The 1.0 liter aluminum bottle functions as a fuel bottle and pressure vessel for a high-pressure stove. The bottle is made of aluminum without joints and has a painted inside to give the bottle better protection. Also included in the set are a repair kit for the burner and one for the pump.

The 1.3 x 2 liter pots are made of hard-anodized aluminum with a multi-layer “titanium non-stick” coating on the inside. The pots can be stacked inside each other and together create a rattle-free unit. The Pot Set comes with a lid that, a tongs and a smart storage bag.

The power of the stove is 3000 W and the boiling time for 1 liter of water is about 3 minutes (+ preheating 40 seconds). We have included a wind shield in this combination.

Function

The Omnifuel requires pressurizing the fuel with a pump in the fuel tank. We recommend that you preheat the burner by flowing a little gasoline, using T-alcohol or lighter fluid, which you let burn for a short time. When the burner has reached its operating temperature, the fuel is gasified from the bottle when you open the control. Ignite the gasified fuel and you will get a very efficient flame.

Choice of fuel
Gas works worse in cold weather and should definitely not be used in climates where temperatures are expected to drop below -25° Celsius. Gas is clean (no soot) and does not require preheating. We recommend Power Gas in 250 or 450 gram tubes. The gas nozzle is marked 45 (0.45 mm).
Petrol works better in cold weather and can be used in climates where temperatures are expected to drop below -25° Celsius. Petrol has a higher effect than other liquid fuels such as kerosene, diesel, etc. When starting the stove, you can pour in a little petrol, turn off the supply and then light the wick to preheat the stove before starting the stove. Motor petrol can also be used, but it contains additives that are harmful to health and leaves deposits in the burner system. And motor petrol is designed for combustion engines, which risks “eating up” the stove’s gaskets. Primus Power fuel is an advanced petroleum blend that provides clean combustion with good power. One can contains 2.5 liters of chemically pure gasoline (heptane) with added corrosion protection. The gasoline nozzle is marked 37 (0.37 mm).

 

Kerosene works better in cold weather than gas and should be used in climates where the temperature is expected to drop below -25° Celsius. We recommend OKQ8 Lighting Kerosene. Kerosene requires preheating of the burner. In that case, however, we recommend that you use t-alcohol for preheating. If you store the T-alcohol in an acetone bottle with a screw cap close to your body, there will be no problem whatsoever in winter lighting the T-alcohol. Aviation kerosene can also be used but brings with it similar problems as described for gasoline for combustion engines. The nozzle for kerosene is marked 28 (0.28 mm).
Diesel can also be used in an emergency, but then it produces a lot of soot and you have to maintain the kitchen more often. The nozzle for diesel is marked 28 (0.28 mm).
